This brand originally comes from Berlin since 1908. After a short takeover period by the English Bentley Piano Company from 1984 to 1992, the brand was taken over again by Whelpdale, Maxwell & Codd Ltd. from 1993 to 1998 and was eventually taken over by Music Brothers International BV in 2003. in Veenendaal. Since that time, Gerh. Steinberg built as a separate line in the Perzina factory in Yantai in China.
The parts used, just like Perzina, come from Europe, which means the brand is respectably positioned at the top of the beginner class. 5 types (heights) of pianos are built and 4 types (lengths) of grand pianos.

Today, Gerhard Steinberg is a second line of instruments used in the Gebr. Perzina factory is manufactured.

Instruments

Gerhard Steinberg stands for authentic pianos and grand pianos with a contemporary look. These instruments are largely built in a traditional and artisanal manner with high-quality materials such as a European spruce soundboard and a German tuning block (deliquit) and Röslau stringing. Technical specifications

The soundboard amplifies, colors and extends the sound produced by the strings. The soundboard is vital for a long-lasting sound. Gerh Steinberg's soundboard, made of Sitka spruce wood, provides optimal sound, does not crack and is not susceptible to central heating and climatic conditions. The strings are made of the best quality 'Röslau'. The tuning block that houses the nickel tuning pegs is made of 28 layers of wood to prevent cracking and keep the instrument in tune. The keyboard has 7 ¼ octaves (88 keys). The mechanism has a direct attack and repeats quickly. The pedals are made of solid copper; a third pedal (moderator) provides less volume. A carefully chosen instrument provides lifelong enjoyment.
