We designed this system to physically mute pianos, while retaining sound and tone. This damper is made with special industrial dampening materials. This allows the volume of a piano to be reduced considerably, while the timbre of the piano is retained.
The damper has 2 adjustable shutters. This allows the piano to be muted in 4 different positions until the desired volume is reached.
The system is attached to the back of the piano, in front of the soundboard.
